Why buy Roofing at bouwdeal?

In our assortment you can find mainly the APP roofing (Roofing APP dark slate top layer - second choice) in 2nd choice. Second choice roofing means that not all layers are the same thickness, so thicknesses can vary per roll; without compromising on quality!

Roofing APP is a plastic based on plastomers. APP roofing is more resistant to UV rays and extreme temperatures compared to SBS roofing. So no extra ballast layer is needed on top of the roofing. An APP roofing is less elastic, so it is mainly used on roofs that can barely expand or shrink.

Why choose roofing?

  1. Waterproof: highly resistant to moisture, provided it is correctly installed with good seam joints between the different strips.
  2. Cheap: relatively inexpensive compared to other types of roofing for flat roofs. 
  3. Easy to repair: cracks or blisters in roofing roofing can be repaired quickly and easily. 
  4. Can be combined with insulation: Insulation can be placed on bitumen from the outside.
  5. Lifetime: lifespan of 20 to 40 years. Please note, the effective life is highly dependent on the brand, maintenance and quality of the material and installation.
  6. Available in different colors:black roofing is the standard, but other colors are also possible. Our product specialist will be happy to help you.

Disadvantages of roofing:

  1. Not seamless: roofing is applied in strips. The seams between the different strips increase the risk of leakage. A correct installation and good seam connection is therefore very important to guarantee the waterproofing of your roof.
  2. Multiple layers: to ensure waterproofing, roofing is often applied in multiple layers.

Roofing can be installed in 2 ways: burning and gluing (Iko Pro High Quality Roofing Glue 20 kg).

Gluing is safer than burning and can be done perfectly by the do-it-yourselfer. Moreover, glued roofing is extra waterproof. However, the seams should always be burned.

For vertical drainage of rainwater on a flat roof, use a tappipe, available in various diameters.
